The Reading Order For My Books

Someone emailed me today asking about the preferred order for reading my books since they all take place in the same fictional universe. Let’s call it the Omegaverse since there are different classes of superpowered beings in that universe, including Omegas, the most powerful.

(My upcoming book Seraph Rising is the first book to not take place in the Omegaverse. If you haven’t already pre-ordered it, what the heck are you waiting for? Pre-order Seraph Rising now.)

This is not the first time someone’s asked me for the best reading order for my books. I have two answers to the question.

My first and primary answer hinges on the fact that, in my opinion, I’ve become a better writer over the years and my editing process has improved. My earliest books are therefore probably my weakest from a structural and editing standpoint. Also, each of my three series is self-contained and freestanding, so you don’t have to read the earliest series to enjoy the later ones.

Since my Superhero Detective series is the first series I wrote, my advice would be to skip that series for now and start with either my Omega Superhero series (the second series I wrote) or my Sorceress Super Hero series (the third series I wrote). If you enjoy those books, then circle back around and read my Superhero Detective series.

Or, you can read my books in the order in which events have been unfolding in the Omegaverse. Here is the list of all the books in the Omegaverse in the order in which events occur:

  1. Superhero Detective for Hire (Superhero Detective Book 1)

  2. The Missing Exploding Girl (Superhero Detective Book 2)

  3. Accused Hero (Superhero Detective Book 5)

  4. Killshot (Superhero Detective Book 3)

  5. Hunted (Superhero Detective Book 4)

  6. Caped (Omega Superhero Book 1)

  7. Trials (Omega Superhero Book 2)

  8. Sentinels (Omega Superhero Book 3)

  9. Rogues (Omega Superhero Book 4)

  10. Sorceress Super Hero (Sorceress Super Hero Book 1)

  11. Monster Madness (Sorceress Super Hero Book 2)

  12. Hero Hunt (Sorceress Super Hero Book 3)

  13. Crisis (Omega Superhero Book 5)
